I'm confused - if this sign is suppose to attract people to attend then why the association with a down scale retailer? Shouldn't they appeal to the higher income crowd? after all, if they get well-to-do folks to attend then they will be able to better influence the lower income people to consume the product ... no! wait a minute, that can't be right, the church isn't selling a product, is it?

I wonder who will read that and have any idea what it's trying to say. They are clever, though. People seem to "get" these secular tie ins better than they do "totally spiritual" signs. Jessica saw one between Jackson and Monticello that said "prayer, the best free wireless plan." The best advertising people know that people respond to clever little jingles. The product has to produce sometime, though. If this is on the surface, I am not optimistic about what is under or behind it. Of course people drawn by this "ploy" will most likely get what they want.

OK the sign said " Walmart is not the only saving place"
I think what they are trying to say is that walmart is not the only saving place DUH!...because walmart supposedly is a place where you save money...but that church is a saving place as well...meaning that going to church saves too but saves souls meaning peoples lives...but spiritually speaking...of course just going to church every sunday will not mean your saved...but if you have accepted christ into yout heart as your one and only saviour and you have that direct relationship with him EVERYDAY! and you still go to church...means your saved...and you can start that by going to church...
